Design freedom

Indulge your flair for beautiful design, without compromising fire protection standards. Create interiors that allow greater access to natural light and enable other parts of the building to remain in view.

Exciting designs can be achieved with SYSTEMGLAS screens and doors. Vertical or horizontal butt jointed glazing without the need for transoms and mullions allows maximum aesthetic appeal without any compromise of safety standards. Framed options are also available.

Doors are fully tested as an integral part of the system and slim profile perimeter framing provides for enhanced aesthetics.

Alternatively, Promat SUPALUX®, the ultimate fire protection board, can be used to conceal the SYSTEMGLAS frame. This gives the appearance that the glass comes directly out of the wall resulting in a modern clean appearance. SUPALUX® can also be used to insulate between the steel sections of doors and frames.

Promat can assist with bespoke specification and screen design for Promat®-SYSTEMGLAS installations.

Butt jointed

Promat UK developed the first butt jointed fire resistant glazing system to be established in the UK market, negating the need for visible transoms and mullions.

Promat®-SYSTEMGLAS provides insulation across the glass joints without the need for insulating cover strips. Joints are simply formed with a bead of clear silicone sealant providing a more aesthetically pleasing appearance and improved natural light source.

The system also allows for butt jointed corner constructions, without the need for bulky corner frames.

*N.B. Butt jointed options are available for 30, 60 and 90 minutes fire protection. Framed solutions are available for 30, 60, 90 and 120 minutes fire resistance.

CE Marking

Following the introduction of the Construction Products Regulation in July 2013, it is now compulsory to CE mark any product that is covered by a harmonised European Standard (hEN).

Although there is, currently, no hEN for calcium silicate fire protection boards, Promat have voluntarily chosen to CE mark Promat SUPALUX®, subjecting boards to a rigorous test programme, to give the customer added confidence in the performance of the product.
